Court disqualifies Bayelsa APC candida

Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has disqualified the Deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 16 Elections, no to participate in it. or should provide the need of the federal high court.

court disqualified Senator Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, over false information in his CF0001 form submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commissioner.

The judge held that all his documents bore different names and he, consequently disqualified him on the ground that he provided false information to the electoral body to stand for the election.

Degi-Eremienyo and the APC governorship candidate, David Lyon and INEC were dragged to court by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, said this at a stakeholders meeting in Lokoja.

Yakubu said that 12 out of the 14-point steps for the smooth conduct of the election had been achieved. “Only four days to the election, how prepared is INEC?

The first one is the last day of campaign which is at midnight on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019. The second is the election day itself which is Saturday, Nov. 16. Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, Director-General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), pledged that corps members would be apolitical during the poll, NAN reports.
